>What video hardware / driver does your desktop use? The laptop is a Thinkpad T61 with nVidia Quadro NVS 140M. The desktop uses the nVidia GeForce 6150 built into the motherboard (Asus M2NPV-VM, running Jaunty x86_64). The desktop is normally connected to a Samsung 206BW at 1680x1050. I also have a Viewsonic VG2021m borrowed from Keith. Both monitors work fine when connected to the desktop. When connected to the VGA output on the laptop both monitors are recognized and there is a faint backlight. They take commands from xrandr, like --off and so on, but nothing I have tried will get them to produce a display. Previously, when running the nVidia proprietary driver with the Viewsonic connected to the laptop it displayed the screen fine, so I take this as evidence that the external plug on the laptop is working as well. I'm about to reinstall the nVidia driver on the laptop and see if I can get it to display 1400x1050 with a custom EDID file. If not, the presentation will be at 1280x960. I don't have time to wait for nouveau or nVidia to come up with bugfixes. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
