Hey, David! Should be via /etc/hosts. Regardless, found the problem and fixed it. I removed the softlink of /usr/bin/lpr from /usr/bin/lprng and pointed it at /usr/bin/lpr-cups. (Did the same with lpq, too.) That's what it took. Whew!
