First problem, I don't have the ISOs for slackware 10.2 and 11.0. I've already upgrade slackware 10.1 udev to slackware 11.0 udev using slackware 10.2's udev as an intermediate upgrade. The kernel is vanilla 2.6.18.8. Question is, what else needs upgrading? I assume glibc needs to be upgraded, but what packages have to be upgraded with glibc?
I'm having trouble with nut-2.6.0. Trouble seems to be traceable to udev permissions. If I do upsdrvctl -u root start, that sort of works. Of course, the cgi scripts don't work when you have to be root and the rc scripts don't either. It should be simple to fix this issue, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. There is supposed to be /dev/bus/usb/XXX/YYY, but that doesn't seem to exist on my system. I seem to have a line in fstab to mount usbfs, so that isn't it. Apparently, there is a change being made that affects how udev and hotplugging function. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
