Fred, Wes, et al.:

   Here's another lesson: alpine stores copies of messages (either in whole
or in part) in /tmp as pico.* (even when the silly pico editor is replaced
with a more capable editor). I found a copy of that non-saved message as
/tmp/pico.53391.bak, saved it to a text file, and will now mail it to myself
for saving.

   It occurred to me early this morning that I should look for it in /tmp and
there it was.
