Very diplomatic Keith, bravo. I haven't broken any rules here except
perhaps don't irritate anyone's atheistic leanings. That I've irritated
you without Christian or religious rhetoric of any kind is something.

As far as Portland is a seaport town, that is a valid excuse for
anything goes and the Neil Goldschmidt sex abuse scandal, I respectfully
disagree.

Neil Goldschmidt deserves to be in prison for his sex crimes, but the
system gives him a pass while some priests because they were religious
don't receive one. Never mind that all of these priests are dead.
I'm not against rewards being paid out in sex abuse cases, but I am
against giving former governors of the state preferential treatment.

The past is the past, nobody I hope is being shipped to Shanghai China
now. Using the past to justify things going on today in Portland that
aren't healthy for the population, weak.

Refusing to assist with technical approaches that can help people filter
their Internet access, maybe their values are religiously based,
unimpressive. What kind of coward quite frankly says to his brother,
"it's your problem, solve it yourself?"

I want a name for a switch that does 802.1x and MAC based filtering and
if at all possible a cost. Barring that, I want information on how to
simulate such a device using a Linux based server.

If the I want a free operating system problem famously brought up by
Linus had been met with, "it's your problem, solve it yourself," we
wouldn't have Linux today. Willingness to help your brother with his
problem is both a religious and more than that a community value.
Addressing community problems like sex trafficking and even drug
trafficking on the consumption side only doesn't solve them. Linus
trying to produce Linux without gnu or anyone else, that wouldn't have
worked.
