Can you give more details or a Robert> link to more details about how you did the project? The slug part or the time-lapse part? For the time-lapse part, I have a .motion configuration file like so: videodevice /dev/video0 height 480 width 640 quality 90 snapshot_interval 1 minimum_frame_time 1 ffmpeg_timelapse 1 ffmpeg_timelapse_mode daily Then go to a fresh directory and type the command: motion -c ~/.motion and away you go. I suppose you could read the manpage as well. With that config, you get individual jpegs every second as well as a concatention of the frames into an mpeg movie. I did something like this for a "security" camera when the family was out of town for a week last summer and I wanted to keep an eye on the side yard, only with a 5 second sampling interval. Was nice to keep track of the house and the nice Portland weather (we were sweltering on the east coast). Motion has other cool features as well. -- Russell Senior, President [email protected] _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
