First off, this claim that there is a stocked library for computer science is interesting because this isn't mentioned as far as I'm aware to students at PSU. Where is it?
Second off, PSU is tax payer supported where the education of local residents should not be dumbed down so to speak, but local resident students should be served and served well. A good educator is aware of the background of his/her students and will either a teach to that background or b suggest to the students in trouble how to best get the needed background. You can't say to a PSU student you are paying for high quality education in one breath and then in the next contradict yourself by saying, but you have to educate yourself. It can't be both ways. If I have to educate myself, why go to college at all? In my opinion, there is a tax payer mandate that PSU is not meeting very well. Third, every person needs material presented to them in a way they can understand it. This isn't about dumbing anything down, this is about educating people. If the presentation doesn't fit you and you don't know how to compensate, you don't learn. This is really very simple. I am looking for appropriate assistance for CS321, CS322, and CS350. I need someone from outside the PSU system because I am sick and tired of the anti cheating policies getting in the way. I am spending hundreds to thousands of dollars, I would be a fool to purposefully and knowingly cheat. I am at PSU to learn or I wouldn't be there at all. There is no reason to sink thousands of dollars into an education if I simply cannot understand the material coming at me. What is a couple hundred more for a high quality tutor? I need a non PSU affiliated tutor or I wouldn't be reaching out on this list. Fourth, I've asked about tutorials online, are there any that would be appropriate for algorithms and compilers? _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
