I've been trying to implement the Solarized terminal color schemes on my system
with limited success.
Information on Solarized: http://ethanschoonover.com/solarized

My laptop is running Kubutu with Xorg package version 1:7.5. I've copied the
provided Xresources file to ~/.Xresources

The perceived problem is the the background isn't being set to the proper light
or dark settings.

I've not had cause to modify X color defaults before. So I don't know where to
go to fix this.

Has anyone here successfully implemeted the Solarized color settings?
What suggestions do you have for bending X to my will?

The Fortune Cookie Fortune today is:
"The Omnivore's Dilemma" is a book so compelling that reading it changes
your relationship to the physical world: Afterward, you simply can't
ever again look at a can of Coke or a bag of Cheetos without shuddering
as you contemplate the completely bonkers industrial food system that
produced such modern artifacts.
