OK this is timely.. my Ubuntu 10.4 desktop just decided to throw its casters in the air. Booted it today and it came up fine. It had not been up for a while so it wanted to apply updates. I told it to reboot and now its kernel is in a panic about not finding the VFS blah blah blah.
Is this fixable without wiping the HD and rebuilding the box? If it's not, I can just rebuild it. If it is I'll give the gurus a the clinic have a shot at it.
