Well, I think that unless we have evidence to the contrary we should consider everyone interested in Linux technology for honorable goals. Any technique can be used for good or ill, starting with flint knives and proceeding all the way up to quantum physics. CERN runs on Linux. wes - I believe the command 'dig' might let you find out when any DNS server has been updated. Run it as a cron job every five minute or so and pipe its output to /var/log/messages, or something. I'd use that.
