Silicon Mechanics resells Supermicro stuff; they'll pre-load Linux for 
you. (I *always* re-install a server OS, but I like pre-installed 
Linux because it means that someone is making sure that the hardware 
is compatible with a mainstream Linux distro.) An interesting thing 
with this vendor is that you have to buy a spares kit if you get 
on-site warranty coverage. It add some expense, but I like having the 
spare parts right in the office.

Penguin sells nice gear; we have a lot of it at work. I don't like the 
lack of live configuration and pricing on the web site -- you have to 
request a quote -- but the gear is good.

I've had good luck with HP gear, but it's typically a bit more 
expensive than the other vendors.
