THis morning I discovered that my Acer monitor expired over night. No power. Fortunately, I just bought a backup monitor (Hanns-G, whatever that is) so I swaped them. After futzing with the color, brightness, and contrast controls the new monitor is sorta' acceptable. But, ... with firefox at certain locations on the application window the cursor vibrates, the status line flickers between 'done' and the URL, and this is seen on the history sidebar, too.
Has anyone an idea what might be the cause of this? And, can it be cured? I've not seen such behavior on an LCD monitor and it's quite annoying. I suppose I should get a higher quality monitor and relegate this one to standby status again.
