Not that I have heard of.  Although, what I know of, those who have
successfully gotten the panels and menu drop downs added to Gnome3
experience nothing problems with the panels and programs launched from
the menu drop downs.

I have talked to some of the Gnome developers and there is work to
implement similar features into Gnome3, but since they were trying to
make a "clean" break with Gnome3 code wise to improve desktop
performance, several of the previous features willing not work
correctly or generate exceptions/hangs if ported.

I personally have not tried to yet because of the issues I have seen
others experience.
