It says it has a resistive touchscreen (like the old palm pilot), which
would mean it behaves quite differently from the capacitive (e.g.
iphone / android -- finger touch) screens and might be best used with a
stylus. However, I played with a cheap (sub-$200) android 7" tablet
from k-mart several months ago and found some very strange touch
behavior even with a stylus -- not just unresponsive, but also
spurious/offset input. It was as if the android interface has some
designed-in assumptions about finger touch (which is a less precise
input than a stylus.) Or, possibly a problem with a larger (and cheap)
resistive touchscreen flexing in a way that creates inaccuracies /
spurious inputs -- of course, the 12" screen on the thinkpad tablet
works fine with a fingernail.

So malloc calls a timeout and starts rummaging around the free chain,
sorting things out, and merging adjacent small free blocks into larger
blocks. This takes 3 1/2 days.
