In the words of the great philosopher Homer, D'oh! That's one I haven't seen before. It installs and runs just fine. All I need to make it useful is to find a way to use my foot pedal with it. I have a program, footpedal, which worked with the program transcribe. It's also a python program that translates the actions of a three switch foot pedal into the equivalent of key strokes. It still works -- that is it runs and its simple configuration still works. I have the source for that one. I may end up learning some python. Also, transcriber has a section for changing some key bindings (I think that's the right phrase), so it may not be too hard. I wonder why that never showed up while I was Googling. I never thought to look in Synaptic. Thanks for pointing it out. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
