The driver download/install finished moments after I sent the post regarding slow downloads. The next thing it required was a restart of the machine. When I restarted the machine there was a blank screen followed by a largish underscore cursor about an inch and a quarter down from the top of the monitor followed by a normal sized cursor at the top of the monitor. The Ubuntu dots appeared, then a login prompt flashed by, the screen went blank and then the monitor reported no signal.
It appears that the built-in video is bypassed when the nVidia card is installed in the PCIe slot. Any thoughts on what to do next? I could remove the nVidia card and get the built-in video back, but then what? Thanks. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
