No kidding? :-) I was writing conversion filters for GRASS in the late 1990s until Frank Warnerdame came up with his library (that he still maintains and regularly updates). I've several ESRI files in their latest proprietary format that are not yet usable in GRASS. Some of these come from federal government agencies, too, funded (in part) by my tax dollars but they don't make their data universally available. > I don't know what application to use for it, but "rm" might work.
