To all: FYI:
Regarding the trouble getting graphics to work on the Asus P8H61-M motherboard, by switching to Ubuntu "Precise" kernel v3.2, all graphics problems were resolved. Evidentally the correct Intel drivers did make it into the Xorg code and also the supporting kernel parameters. The old v2.6.32 kernel just couldn't handle the Intel "SandyBridge" H61 chipset. So if you do use an Asus P8H61-M or similar Asus card, you definitely will have to run Ubuntu "Oneiric" or "Precise" to support the Intel Sandybridge integrated graphics. I consider this problem now closed (after burning 3 or 4 cds and doing installs and watching the results) Randall _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
