I run something similar to the following out of crontab on a regular basis,
with the output mailed to me:
clamscan -r -d /var/lib/clamav -i --exclude-dir /mnt --exclude-dir /media
--exclude-dir /proc --exclude-dir /sys --exclude-dir /dev/pts --exclude-dir
/var/spool/amavis/virusmails /
You'll want to tweak those options and parameters to meet your own needs, of
course.
