Debra passes on the news that the free geek team will be doing
maintenance Sunday:

> From noon to 6pm, We'll be working on recabling and other general server
> maintenance. Some of our services may down intermittantly during this time
> while we adjust cabling in the server room.

They've done this before on Clinic day - I do not remember any
major problems, and they may appreciate our presence as guinea
pigs and beta testers.

But that is my memory - without a parity bit. If your memory
(RAM, Disk, or neuronal) is also getting flakey, bring your
machine and brain down to the Linux clinic and we will fsck and
brainck to clear the cobwebs. We will erase your nightmarish
digital memories of Windows, replacing them with linux on
your disk and linux skills in your head.

The clinic meets at Free Geek, 1731 SE 10th, 3 blocks south of
Hawthorne, every third sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm. We have
wired and wireless ethernet (I hope), keyboards, monitors and
mice, distros, and so-called expert advice based on what little
we can remember from our own linux newbie days. We may have
coffee, if I don't forget to bring coffee filters. Forget
about that diet - somebody will probably bring crackers and
cookies, perhaps chocolate. Remember, gigantic is the new
normal.

Your brain will never be the same. Ours aren't.
