Anybody know if Ubuntu 12.04 is supported by Fusion on a Mac? My early search results seem to indicate that's a negative. :-(
Right now I'm running Fusion 3. I haven't seen any reason to upgrade because it seems like the main reason would be to get Lion support, and I may never upgrade my Mac to Lion. :-P I have more than one Ubuntu 10.04LTS install that I should be upgrading, and figured I'd try my VMWare install first to see how it went. The net result is a trashed system. The login screen video is so messed up I can barely see what I'm trying to do. Once I get in it's OK, but the VMWare Tools don't install so now I don't have shared folders, and who knows what else. And OMG, how do I get rid of Unity? It just makes me want to scream. I have another VMWare-based install that I use for work, which I guess I won't be updating any time soon. :-( My other two systems are running on real hardware, but I'll be damned if I'm going to subject myself to Unity on a full-time basis. john- _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
