I've thrown away more than one Lite-on drive. You couldn't pay me to take one 
anymore. All of my recent builds use Asus drives, and I've been very happy with 
them. Fry's sells OEM-packaged Asus drives for $22. 

Of course, I don't burn as many DVDs these days as I used to....
