Sounds like you're looking for a server. It's been a few years since
I was in the market for a motherboard, but Tyan made some nice
server-oriented boards. Multiple (multi-core) CPUs, lots of (ECC)
RAM; multiple SATA connections, USB, serial, parallel, and Ethernet
ports, and optional SCSI bus(ses). Solid construction, and worked
well with Linux.
