Overnight between Thursday and Friday my Ubuntu 12.04 machine decided to reboot. Naturally, I didn't remember that GRUB picks the 64 bit version as the default, so that's what was running Friday morning. It took me a few minutes to realize that was why there was less on the desktop than the night before.
Once I rebooted to the 32 bit version of 12.04 I was able to get some work out the door. There remain several questions, but they are for different threads. This morning the system wanted to do an update. I agreed to let it so do. One of the parts of the update involved the MS ttf installer. It presented a EULA dialog box that I was able to click in this time. Now the expected fonts are installed and available. Still no idea just what happened, there, but at least it works. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
