I'm bringing my Dell Latitude E5410 notebook and BenQ MX520 projector (so
Keith can compare projectors), and I have three minor xfce irritations that
I would like to resolve, if possible. My posts to the xfce mail list elicit
no responses; for that matter, there's almost no traffic on it which really
surprises me.

Irritation #1: Why the line 'xmodmap $HOME/.Xmodmap' is not read and
implemented when ~/.xinitrc is sourced. This is new with Slackware-14.0.

Irritation #2: Why the xfce session manager does not restore the virtual
terminals when X is started. Firefox and other graphic applications (e.g.,
adobe reader) are restored to their work spaces but not the terminals. This,
too, started with the latest Slackware version.

Irritation #3: Why the graphic desktop display is not presented when the
LCD projector is connected to the notebook. Instead, the default xfce image
(a mouse on a blue background) is used. This is a very minor irritation but
one that begs for understanding.

While I've used xfce for a very long time I cannot find solutions to these
irritations. Perhaps I don't know just where to go look for the reasons.
