I have one of those on a shelf somewhere. I got it last December, but 
haven't figured out a way to use it in Linux, and haven't gotten around 
to using it with XP.

When you use your ION USB turntable, do you use the USB connection with 
Linux? I haven't found a way to use the USB part except with XP. (I've 
had it for several years) The version of audacity that came with it 
includes a Windows driver for the USB side. I have used the turntable 
with Linux by connecting its standard audio cables to the audio in part 
of my sound card. I'd rather use the USB connection because it seems to 
handle record level setting on the USB side better then I get with my 
own record level settings on the sound card.
