My desktop computer has a five-year old ASUS motherboard with four SATA-2 ports. I am considering adding a 3 TB SATA-3 drive. My choice of SATA-3 is only for future; my current motherboard only has SATA-2. In shopping I found this on a page from Enu:
Motherboard with UEFI BIOS or compatible controller card and compatible OS needed for drives greater than 2.2TB I assume that a SATA-3 drive will work on a SATA-2 controller; it just won't run as fast as if it was on a SATA-3 controller. But what is this about drives greater than 2.2 TB? _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
