Dear Governor Kitzhaber:

You gave 150 million to Oracle to produce the Cover Oregon website;
epic fail! Why don't you bring the State of Oregon to us on Sunday,
and we will help you install Linux on it! Linux runs on desktops,
laptops, smartphones, and supercomputers; why not a whole state?

We can't promise affordable access to Big Pharma's newest poison
of the month, but with immunity to Windows viruses, who needs it?

The Linux Clinic meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 1pm to
5pm at Free Geek, 1731 SE 10th Avenue. We've got free wired and
wireless ethernet, borrowable keyboards and mice, and plenty of
free help with Linux. If you are still pining for the Microsoft
and Oracle experience, we can help you install Oracle Virtualbox,
so that you can run virtual Windows under Linux, screaming and
pulling your hair only when you feel like it. Or we can help
you with LibreOffice for your documents and presentations, so
you can ditch Gates' and Ellison's office suites forever.

So come on up from Salem to southeast Portland for the Clinic on
Sunday December 15th. Bring your lady friend. We can share a
pleasant afternoon together geeking out and telling bad jokes,
far from reporters and incompetent software vendors, sipping
free coffee and noshing on veggies and snacks.

Keith
