This was a business install, so Comcast installed their modem first, then swapped in the SB6121 that we had purchased. They clearly weren't used to having a customer supplied modem on a business account, so it took them 30-60 minutes to get it working, with most of that time spent waiting for someone else at Comcast to work their magic. At the time I was still using a WRT54GL running OpenWrt. A few days or weeks later I swapped in the WZR-600DHP. No interaction with Comcast was needed. All of the above was relatively simple. However, trying to use Comcast's outbound mail servers was a nightmare. I ended up upgrading our service with our DNS provider(easydns) so I could route our outbound email through them. galen -- Galen Seitz [email protected] _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
