Same boat here BUT I just replaced all my commercial router firware with
F/OSS Openwrt ( and derivatives ) which have numerous built in dynamic DNS
choices. The stock Netgear could only point to dyndns. I'll let you know
the results of my survey.
As for "roll yer own " I'm too lazy ;-)
