I decided to try Linux Mint 13, using Plop to install it via a USB stick. It's working well, and I have a number of things that I need on it working.
I'm not having success getting wireless working, though. I've tried a number of things recommended in search results, but I must be missing something. I don't recall having to do anything special other than push the button on the front of the laptop to enable the radio, and then, having to provide my routers passphrase, once. After that, Ubuntu 10 was able to connect whenever I opened the lid. When I push the button on the front of the laptop now I see it blink on and off, but never come on solid. I tried going to the network setup tool, but I never get enough info into it to get to a point where it will save. I'm not sure what I'm missing. What information from my machine would be helpful to know to help me with this? Thanks. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
