I’d check out http://store.netgate.com/Netgate-FW-7541-1U-Rack-Mount-System-BTO-P1903.aspx It starts out about $700, you can configure both memory and storage (it has a dual core 1.8ghz atom). It comes with pfSense, and it has 6 gig-e ports and an rj45 serial port.
