Larry, I've no idea how the CPUs respond to load/temp. The load is generally limited to as many open browser tags as the memory will allow. :-) Some times the laptops are on for several days continuously, other times they're shut down between uses. I like your suggestion of running ntpdate via cron. What frequency would you recommend?
