Found and fixed the problem. When I upgraded postfix-2.11.0 to -2.11.1 I neglected to update the build script, only changed the version within the script. Faulty build. Got the appropriate build script and rebuilt postfix. Now logwatch runs as it always did from /etc/cron.daily/ and sends the report to my inbox.
