Folks,
I am working with Webcamstudio to build a video switcher, the soft-
ware runs on linux, I need it to run fast so that the delays and other
timing issues are at a minimum. Looks like the hardware just needs
to be fast and have a nice amount of memory. Most of the cameras
used are USB type cameras, I am thinking that I need something
that does not have all of the USB ports on a single USB bus.

Any recommendations or is anyone on list using Webcamstudio? All
I need to figure out is what hardware I should use to make it work
and not have delays.

I have tested the latest code out on my Thinkpad X200 with 3 web
cams, and it does not do too bad there, the OS is Ubuntu 12.04, I
am also running Compiz so there is some overhead that a dedicated
machine would not have as I would run it with a light window man-
ager.
