I've averaged 1000 attacks per day since April, 2400 per day
so far through December, and 2200 per day over the last week.
2105 attacks on Monday December 22. My all-time high was
19905 attempts on Friday December 12.

While it is fashionable to blame this on the NKs, there are
bastards all over the planet.

Regards the NKs, there is an electronic way to test this.

Using Intel's latest process, we can build very small "mask ROM"
chips that drive a hearing aid speaker. Assuming a whisper
quiet output (not hearing aid loud), a sealed pea-sized earbud
could last a long time on a battery plus a thermal generator.
The bud would contain hundreds of hours of audio encyclopedia
in Korean - useful everyday stuff, plus stories of the outside
world. We could mass produce a billion of them and airdrop
them near NK villages. Even if the government managed to
collect 99% of them, millions of NKs would learn about the
world, and many would make efforts to reconnect with the
rest of us. I prefer change from within.

If NK hackers are reading this and react, I can expect a
million SSH attempts per day Real Soon Now.
Consider this an experiment.
