   Nope. No different than an .xls file. Thinking about the situation, it
makes sense because I've been told that M$ Access is a flatfile meant as a
front end to a relational database. Therefore, there's no target in Office
for an exported .odb relational database from LO.

   What I'm going to do is design the database as an application template and
make it available to all chapters. Those who want to use it can find someone
who has (or will install) LO so the database application can be used.

   It's interesting, too, that the embedded single-user database engine for
LO's base is something called HSQLDB, or HyperSQL Database. That's
apparently written in java which explains why LO uses it rather than sqlite.
