Jim, After writing that message I booted the laptop (to build and install Slackware patched packages) and checked the date because I had recently upgraded ntpd and uncommented the default time servers in the new /etc/ntp.conf file. That seems to have fixed the problem. The appropriate assumption is that somehow I mis-configured ntp on that one host. Seems that the latest update fixed it. However, I will check again tomorrow morning. If the time's still correct I'll not bring the laptop to the clinic, but will show up to see if there's something useful I can contribute. Thanks, Rich _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
