Before posting my question I tried the menu editor, but it just said "ristretto %F." I suppose that means it is in my path. Now all I have to do is hit Firefox over the head with a 2x4 so it will remember that I want to open PNG files with Ristretto. Using "which ristretto" I learned that Ristretto is in /usr/bin, so when I clicked on the PNG file and it came up with Gedit I chose Other and pointed it to /usr/bin/ristretto, being sure to check the box for "always open files of this type." It worked, but later on the same page I clicked on another PNG and Firefox popped up the same window, still wanting to open the file in Gedit. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
