Wes, If I do this, when folks want to subscribe/unsubscribe and point their browsers to lists.appl-ecosys.com they'll not find a httpd running Mailman. Seems to me that both httpd and smtp need to be running and out-facing to support maillists. Since no one in either of the two organizations has shown any interest in using the lists there would be potential loss, but no actual loss. That might be the most parsimonious thing to do.
