My desktop is dual boot to either Ubuntu 12.04 or Ubuntu 14.04. They are installed in separate hard drives, not separate partitions on the same drive. I have VirtualBox installed on each. In the Ubuntu 12.04 installation I have a Windows 7 virtual machine. I tried exporting it to the installation on Ubuntu 14.04, but the Windows copy protection system doesn't like that it's on a different drive. I know that I can do something with MS to move the installation to a different drive, but at this point I'm testing to see if I want to switch to 14 or stay with 12 a bit longer, and I'd rather not mess with "moving" my virtual Win 7.
Is there some way to tell VirtualBox on my 14 installation to use the virtual machine on the 12 installation's drive? If so, what is the concept called so I can search for instructions on how to do it? Thanks. -- Regards, Dick Steffens _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
