Wikipedia says the 4100 was sold between March 2001 and February 2003.
Zeroconf was certainly under development by then.  Apple being the
initial driver through Bonjour. "After its introduction in 2002 with Mac
OS X v10.2 as Rendezvous, the software was renamed in 2005 to Bonjour [...]"

So, yeah, it might not do zeroconf, but it's not outside the realm of
possibilities.
