Folks, The other day I was at Free Geek looking for something for a job, they had a nice little computer there at a price I could not resist, so I bought it. It had Mint 17.1 installed, I brought it home and proceeded to bring up Compiz on it. I have two monitors running, but I can not appear to get things set up on a per monitor basis. I have looked at the monitor control app, it allows me to position the two monitors as far as the relation of the two screens (side by side) but the panel goes on one, the desktop icons arre on the other, I am trying to get it to where I have separate screens or at least they allow me to open things on one screen or the other, I would like a main screen and the other is where I move things that I am working on but to a lesser degree.
The video device is a Intel HD Graphics 3000. I have used this setup on my laptops with no issues, with the laptop screen being where I keep stuff that I am looking at, and the outboard screen being much larger, where I do my actual work. All of them were Nvidia based and the Nvidia tool allows you to set the screens up they way you want. Any idea of how to do so under the Intel device? -- Chuck Hast -- KP4DJT -- Glass, five thousand years of history and getting better.
