Well I DID say they *appeared* competent to this HTML beginner ;)
I had assumed w3schools was part of "The World Wide Web 
Consortium" having thought I had found it through  link(s) from 
w3.org . My memory may be faulty as I cannot now find any link to 
it from www.w3.org .
