Why do some user groups endure for decades while others do not? What organizational structures and personalities are needed to maintain interest, attendance and participation? Share your experiences on why the groups you have been involved with have or have not survived. Was it a Y2K preparedness group that served its purpose? Did group leadership not successfully transfer between generations? Beyond organizing the last 100 or so PLUG speakers, Michael has been involved in student and neighborhood government, plus the Oregon Latvian Society for nearly 30 years.
