The roof shouldn't matter.  You bits aren't coming from space,
generally (at least not until Keith has his way).  Stucco is bad news
for transmission between inside and outside, but if you have windows
that aren't low-e glass like in modern office buildings, you should
get plenty of rf intrusion through openings like that.  Wooden (and
therefore non-conductive) buildings shouldn't have a big problem.  A
metal roof may improve wifi coverage inside, because RF is more likely
to bounce off the roof and stay inside instead of fly off into space.
