I do not think that you want to know everything what everybody else knows for your own safety and sanity! :-)
While back, when applications still had menus, one could learn keyboard shortcuts by using/looking at the menu items. Some of these shortcuts are universally used such as Ctrl+s/o/n/w/q, F1, F2, F5, F10, F11, Tab, Shift/Ctrl+Tab and more. In Linux you can access terminals by Ctrl+Alt+F1/F2/..... F7 is typically your graphical terminal and if you start new graphical session that becomes Ctrl+Alt+F8 and up. Sometimes it is handy to be able to restart window manager by Ctrl+Alt+BS These days there is little documentation by design, so that you have the "opportunity" to ask Google for every little thing ... it is called ecosystem captivity or .... Good news is that some free (as in libre) applications still have menus, so that you can learn from there. Although, I am afraid, menus are endangered species as the next generation tries to replicate MS ribbons and phone design patterns. Have a lot of fun discovering old useful stuff.
