I've searched the Web unsuccessfully for this new problem on a laptop: it's no longer correctly displaying UTF-8 characters.
The locale is set to en_US.UTF-8, and that's exported in ~/.bash_profile. This configuration works on other hosts (such as my server/workstation), and used to work on the laptop.
