I've read the man page, yet when I try to use it the connection is refused. I ran ssh-keygen on the ThinkPad with the same passphrase as on the desktop, and invoked ssh-agent on both. Yet I cannot copy the public key in either direction using ssh-copy-id. A web search was not productive. Thoughts on how to identify the source of the error welcome.
