I got a new machine from ENU. This morning I plugged in all the external
stuff -- keyboard, mouse, monitors, Ethernet, sound -- and turned it on.
Then I remembered I needed to plug in the USB stick with Ubuntu 16.04.
By the time I plugged it in a BIOS screen was displayed. Lots of cool
stuff, but no obvious way to get it to see the USB stick. So I powered
it off and then back on. When it powered back up I got a GRUB screen
with the following:

GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta2-36ubuntu3.1

Try Ubuntu without installing
Install Ubuntu
OEM install (for manufacturers)
Check disc for defects

When I select either Try Ubuntu without installing or Install Ubuntu I
get the following screen:

Google returns a number of things, but they tend to be from several
years/os versions ago. The one thing I did try was to hit "c" when GRUB
comes up and I do get the mini shell. ls returns:

(memdisk) (hd0) (hd0,msdos1) (hd1) (hd2)

ls (memdisk) returns:

Device memdisk: Filesystem type fat, UUID FB19-ABD6 - Sector size 512B -
Total size 64KiB

ls (hd0) returns:
error: file `/boot/grub/x86_64-efi/tar.mod' not found.
error: file `/boot/grub/x86_efi/sfs.mod' not found.
error: file `/boot/grub/x86_efi/nilfs2.mod' not found.
error: file `/boot/grub/x86_efi/minix.mod' not found.
error: file `/boot/grub/x86_efi/afs.mod' not found.
error: file `/boot/grub/x86_efi/affs.mod' not found.
Device hd0: No known filesystem detected - Sector size 512B - Total size
7833600KiB

ls (hd1) returns:
Device hd1: No known filesystem detected - Sector size 512B - Total size
976762584KiB

ls (hd2) returns:

Device hd2: No known filesystem detected - Sector size 2048B - Total
size 514KiB

I have a call in to ENU, but until I hear back, does anyone recognize
what's going on here and have an idea as to what to do?

Thanks in advance.
